EunYoung Sebazco
Seoul → Tokyo → New York · co-founder
Born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, EunYoung has a passion for plants. Her path took her to Tokyo, where she practiced as a landscape architect for nine years — and where she was introduced to the Japanese tea ceremony she has kept practicing on her journey to New York.
She came to New York to further her study of the science of plants, earned her degree from the New York Botanical Garden’s Professional School of Horticulture, and has held a horticulture-manager position at one of the city’s largest parks — along the way growing New York City’s first rice paddies, on Randall’s Island, in 2010.
Her ceramic line, Around Dirt, gathers all of her passions: her journey with plants, tea ceremony, and culinary affections. She is also the author of When You Slow Down — Sometime Early Spring, Somewhere in Japan (2025).
